- Long hours due to understaffed and poorly-trained teams - Abysmal IT and HR support. Anything outside my immediate role was a prodigious headache. - Constant threat of layoffs even during record performance, due to "cheap" company culture. Massive bonus payouts to directors and above while thinned teams were further cut. - Utter mess of systems and processes, bolted on and barely maintained year-after-year due to (again) cheapness of leadership. This is not a tech company -- it is an aging manufacturer. I had a complete mental breakdown due to this job, even as a top performer. Avoid unless you are willing to gut it out for your resume or the pay for a short period.

Many senior employees 15+ years have already exited dell due to horrible leadership and not providing career growth. On the other hand they have money to pay big consulting companies who produce only PPTs. They only hire MBA grads who have never been through any technical experience or degree and make them lead things like "digital transformation" and technology strategy.
