      Pros

      The pay is great, the culture and people I work with are outstanding, some of the best personal and professional relationships I've ever had. They do the best job they can do of making sure the pay is more than competitive in order to ensure they have the best people for the job, and keep them. They also genuinely seem concerned about treating people right even when making cutbacks in a recession.

      Cons

      It is a results-driven and high stress environment, and this can take a toll on your health even if you don't recognize it is happening. Recently a fitness center has been built and health initiatives and rewards have been put in place to offset that.

      Pros

      Dell has a good view on work/life balance and they do a good job of motivating people to achieve their goals. They consistently bring in vendors to display new products and their training programs are outstanding. I believe they care about their employees more so than any other company I have worked at.

      Cons

      In any sales position, you will be required to hit a quota. Sometimes, Dell will set quotas higher than they should probably be. If you don't hit your quota at Dell, you really won't make any money. Also, there are times when it can be a very stressful environment. Some people won't enjoy working in a call center environment so that would be another thing to consider.

      Pros

      Ability to manage work/life balance. clear about what you need to do and how you will be compensated. With the right direct managers you get a chance to manage work and private life well, but especially with internal functions this is a lot harder. However they do give you a very good idea of what you need to achieve per quarter and how you will be rewarded. Good results are well rewarded, but there is always a lot of pressure to achieve your results. Furthermore there is a terrible admin/reporting load, which i have not seen in any of my previous employers.

      Cons

      No clear focused long term strategy, too quarterly/weekly driven. Too much focus on short term results.
