There is no job security. Management has no visibility of holistic view making them incompetent to lead toward common goals (whatever those may be). Self serving agendas. There is no empowerment and there also isn't trust

Work/life balance is pretty fair depending on the department. The cafeteria food has a healthy variety, and the fitness facilities are good for the monthly investment.

Cons

Dell fosters a toxic culture in which screaming at subordinates is considered strong. If you're with the "in" crowd, then almost nothing you do in the name of "driving for results" could be bad. It's a mercenary environment to say the least. Personal insults made via faceless phone calls and email terrorism maintain the politics of fear. The core message is: there is a long line of people that are more educated and willing to work for half your salary; keep looking over your shoulder. You could be the victim of the regular, quarterly Workforce Reduction at any moment.
