The hours scheduled don't neccessarily mean the hours you will work, you typically will work many more with busy season typically lasting from September through May (50-80 hours weekly). You will not be compensated well at all. Some classes only makes $500 more than the class below them. A high performing 5th year senior only makes $8k more than a new hire. They will typically make you commute extended distances for clients without the availability for a hotel. They have eliminated any recognition rewards for high performers. Working from dusk to dawn and weekends are the norm. You have to adapt to lots of management styles, many of which will micro manage you. You have little job security, as there have been 6 rounds of lay offs in the past year. Then they will continue to fire people below a certain rating. The rating system is based on a bell curve, so normally good performers may be at risk of losing their job.

Highly political environment - its not what you know but who you know. You are either a part of the club or you're not. Everything depends on that. Your entire experience will depend on whether you get accep[ted into the inner circle. Now, why this happens is illogical and unpredictable. You can try your best and be great at what you do but you may still not get accepted. This results in an invisible wall going up that cannot be broken. Alternatvely if you do get accepted as a part ofthe inner circle - then you can go for dinners and shopping sprees with the partners and get the best projects. An avoidable experience.
