      Pros

      Technology area: Can be satisfying depending on which group you are in. Management was trying to improve for the long-term. Remains to be seen how that works out.

      Cons

      Technology area: Extensive outsourcing and employment shift to lower cost cities has reduced the opportunities in some groups (eg, support functions / groups). Probably best for positions closest to the business (eg, front-office supporting business analysts, etc). Some roles/groups did not receive equal respect by mid to upper IT management.

      Pros

      Somewhat better work/life balance than NYC analysts. Technically better pay than NYC analysts, when adjusting for a much lower cost of living in FL.

      Cons

      Lower overall pay/bonus than NYC, feel like back office workers even though we're part of the investment bank. Feels like no future for career advancement. Little/no pay differentiation based on group productivity or amount of hours worked. Lack of passion/drive to succeed in some co-workers. Local management is very cliquey/shows favoritism to certain groups.
