Pros

- Good benefits compared to other banks (3 weeks vacation for 1st year at Associate-level or higher, 4 weeks per year thereafter, VPs and above get 5 weeks per year) - Solid, stable bank that has weathered the financial crisis well

Cons

- Some morale issues, depending on the department (some depts have experienced more turnover/restructuring than others) - Technology is generally subpar here compared to other banks - Although salary and bonus can be OK for some, it is under-market for many; new, unproven employees hired from the street can be earning more than experienced, tenured employees who already know the business) - Politics can be especially heavy here, depending on the department and the local manager. Management seems to place a high focus on visibility instead of overall contribution. For example, someone who stays until 7pm every day BSing most of the day and then beginning to work hard in the afternoon will be viewed more favorably than someone who comes early, leaves early but works hard the whole day. - Uneven standards for performance evaluations and promotions depending on the department and local manager.

Pros

1) There is always possibility to move to another team / project if you wish so 2) You can find interesting work even in so not creative area as programming finance products 3) Salary in moscow is higher than in average moscow software company 4) You can be late on work in case you overall performance well

Cons

1) promotions/salary increase one time per year 2) if you get to not right team , you will need to work there for a year at least 3) a lot of boring work if you want to be promoted - so high skilled programmers cant be VP even if they have a great experience they need to do paper work t be promoted (russian mentality that programmer cant be important person)
