Pros

Discover has a very unique environment. They believe that if they treat their employees well then in turn we will treat the customers well, which in turn will make the company money. It has been working for them. They have a wide range of opportunities. You are able to move around very easily from team to team. Discover has an open door policy. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help, it has a great culture.

Cons

For the most part I have not seen many cons to working for Discover. The company is very meeting centered, so at times it makes your days/weeks very stressful but that is to be expected at most jobs.

Pros

Super easy job, you get inbound call close them and a no brain job

Cons

This is a teenager job, you could book more loans than anyone in the office but if someone from quality control listen to your call and they don't think you are friendly enough ( sound like robot ) then you lose all of your bonus.

Pros

Great pay and benefits, great incentive structure in collections and customer service position. They have great programs like "Aspiring Professionals" and HR internship programs. The company does well to ensure that employees have a chance to grow and develop.

Cons

Management is shady...they gossip about their employees and they play favorites. The promote people that they are "friends" with and not necessarily that are good for the position. There is not a great work/life balance, and you are always expected to work overtime. If you choose not to, they management makes you feel guilty about it. Even when you complain to HR, they don't always take complaints seriously.
