      Pros

      Has a lot of benefits(paid vacations, seek days etc). Could help and direct you. Flexible.

      Cons

      A lot of tracking systems, various managing systems which are hard to understand and no explanation what is major and what is the minor.

      Large library of materials to study and learn, Better than other contractors like Luxoft in Russia, Moscow,

      Cons

      1) workplace is usually on customer side, 2) salary is low and it is hard to make it to an apropriate level, it will alwas be below market, 3) there is an agreement about not luring employees between major Russian IT companies like EPAM, Yandex and others, what is basically a slavery; 4) All the projects were connected with old technologies, nothing innovative

      Pros

      Great nearshore teams who are enthusiastic and have an Agile engineering mindset and are generally a pleasure to work with ! The US based marketing side of the business has really got its act together around branding and reputation.

      Cons

      No career path - this is very much in your hands. People get stuck on projects - there is no deliberate turnover policy to keeps things fresh and share knowledge. The UK attrition rate is fairly high and very sales/results led. So your voice and ability to influence strategy is directly proportional to your proximity to the revenue. Management as I know it, by people who have experience in managing people, is very thin on the ground.
