Do Your Best and Forget the Rest
Pros
Exciting work, best in class coworkers, projects are truly a team effort but individuals are also recognized for their contributions. Upper management (VPs and above) are very, very accessible and seem to truly recognize the value in the entire staff. CEO knows everyone by name and is always available. SVPs are equally accessible, and are in the trenches with the employees, offering help as needed. They're not just pencil pushers and buck-passers, which you find in a lot of other companies. I got tired of being the only person at my last job to work my butt off and always do my best. At Empathy Lab, it's not like that. Everyone is doing their best, all the time. It's nice not to be the only one who gives a hoot.
Cons
Not the place for people who watch the clock, or people who want to slip through the cracks and just do the bare minimum.
