Pros
EPAM is one hell of a company! Best practices through and through Bleeding edge technologies Management that is as knowledgeable as you are. Your boss most likely does what you do at a higher level. In 5 years, you will grow 20! if you can keep up!
Cons
At EPAM there is no work-life balance. Whatever you do, expect 80 hours worth of work per week. Expect to be expected to be OK with this. You are tired? NO ONE CARES! EPAM has a difficult time setting realistic expectations with clients. EPAM has a difficult time saying NO to clients when it technically warrants it. Client asks, client gets - whether or not it is possible, it is the delivery team's problem, not sales or account management. I understand that EPAM is in a very competitive industry, but the perpetual "bending over backwards" is not sustainable. EPAM has no regard whether or not you sleep at all. Whether or not you work weekends. I have been in meetings in which I have raised my concern with people's exhaustion, THEY WILL SHRUG THEIR SHOULDERS AND SEE YOU AS A COMPLAINER. Not as a human being who's tired. EPAM needs to learn to balance these things. I have worked for other consulting firms where clients are managed and people are protected that are just as successful as EPAM.
