Pros

A lot of annual leave 22 days (Optional 5 extra days + 11 days with the use of overtime). Vast knowledge of different types of businesses gained from working here. You will greatly develop your excel skills which are vital in the current day for all finance roles.

Cons

No payment for overtime beyond 80 hours cap (80 hours must be used for time off in Lieu which equates to 11 days off). Mandatory hours of 45hrs per week from October - April. Standard working week per contract are 36.5hrs (9:00-5:15) per week. Overtime is not occasional but a constant expectation. I would recommend EY as a training firm but not beyond the 3.5yr training contract within the UKI Assurance department.

Pros

- Colleagues are generally nice (mainly juniors e.g. assocs/ seniors) - Flat culture, associates can easily engage managers, directors, and even partners - Good firm reputation (good exit opportunities) - Exciting/ challenging learning curve (get to learn quickly, managing clients, presenting proposals at such an early stage in the career can be exciting)

Cons

- Poor remuneration (pay is extremely low within the industry, be mindful you are doing management consulting work) - Poor benefits (office facilities are bad considering it is at one of the best commercial real estate spaces in singapore, pantry is just disappointing, no CNY celebrations, overseas trainings are clearly running on tight budgets) - Lack of organisational culture (no distinct culture within the whole firm) - Uninteresting projects (large part of the projects are Tech based projects, even if you're not from IT Advisory or IT Risk Advisory) - Top heavy (lots of hires at manager/ senior manager levels, too little doing grunt work, which causes associates/ seniors to bear the brunt in the end)
