Pros

Opportunities for growth within the company if your willing to work hard and play the politics. Many different positions and operations all over the world.

Cons

Allows politics to drive certain discisions. Promotes people based on only who they know, or where they went to school, or what degree they have and forgets that they need to listen to the employees that are driving the success of the company and know what is needed to be successful.

Pros

lot's of opportunity to learn and grow within a multitude of areas. Eaton will take their best and brightest and train them, take care of them, move them around the country/world to teach you about the company. Eaton is in an incredible position to take on emerging markets, like hybrid technology, and wind turbine growth.

Cons

Eaton has a silo approach where many people have two bosses that they report to, which of course can create complications as far as goals are concerned and who has the final say.

Pros

The work is very challenging and engaging. There are a lot of career advancement opportunities. Eaton has plants and facilties all over the world. Ethics are very important. Excellent diversity in business segments. Eaton has a diverse supplier and customer base allowing for excellent travel opportunities. Instructor led training and on line training is very important to Eaton culture.

Cons

The work environment is very high stress. The corporate culture is very conservative. Strict HR policies and inflexible employee schedules for non-manufacturing positions. The typical work day is long, 10 to 12 hours on average. People work during weekends, vacations, and holidays. Annual review process is very involved and time consuming.
