Pros

Lots of opportunity, plethora of work, excellent travel benefits (hotel, airline, rental car, amex points), travel sometimes feels more like an all-expense-paid vacation. An excellent opportunity to travel across the country, and even the world. Pride in not contributing to any political campaigns, very ethics driven company.

Cons

Very long hours, corporate culture not to fire anybody, too metric driven, we are punished if the stock doesn't perform even if our sector is doing very well. If you're good, it's hard to move to another division because nobody wants to you to leave. Travel gets old very fast. Project managers set unrealistic expectations.

Good company

Pros

Good company with plenty of people to mentor you as you come right out of college. Field Service Engineer is a dirty long hour job but worth the valuable knowledge you will obtain.

Cons

Salaries are on the lower side of what they should be. Managers don't recognize your work if you are in the field and rely on word of mouth to gain knowledge on your improvements.
