Pros
good money, steady employment, union shop, work on your own, not too much of management looking over your shoulder, etc. that's about it
Cons
bad management, corp says one thing and management does another and expects you to sign off on it, so when something goes wrong you are on the hook for it. Horrible medical plans! they do not take safety seriously, they claim to in the meetings then management on the floor tells you to lift 100 lbs by yourself, use machines when safety guard is broken, this type of thing
