Pros

Compensation is on par with industry standards. Low stress and good work life balance. Company is trying to appeal to younger generations by implementing “dress for your day”. If you have a light day with no big meetings you can wear jeans to work. If you are meeting with a supplier, customer, or presenting then business casual. They also implemented “summer hours” allowing employees to leave at 3 on Friday’s.

Cons

Mediocre health insurance. Suspension of 401K match. Executive leadership is not forward thinking. Instead of creating a 5 or 10 year plan for the corporation, leadership chases the numbers quarter to quarter. The lack of vision has caused a suspension of 401K match, and in 2016 a 1 week unpaid leave of absence for employees. However, the company has paid bonuses to leadership in both years. The company pushes unrealistic numbers to Wall Street, then chops benefits to make the profitability look healthy.

Pros

Big company with lots of opportunities if you are mobile and willing to eventually move to Cleveland. Diversified multinational so interesting work challenges and good experience for career/resume. Leaders are ethical and honest in business transactions but treat employees poorly.

Cons

Too slow to make leadership changes even after they string together several quarters of sub-standard performance. Would rather do unpaid furloughs, delay merit increases and suspend 401k matching than disappoint Wall Street analysts/shareholders or fire low performing, overpaid executives. Bills itself as an integrated operating company but the integration is mostly on paper vs leveragingcommon systems and processes.

Pros

People, they are truly the hardest working and dedicated folks I have ever worked with! Generous paid holiday schedule for most sites.

Cons

Massive downsizing and restructuring due to extremely short-sighted business decisions. No job is safe anymore. Unfortunately, employees have become only a liability on a balance sheet and are no longer valued for the talent and knowledge they offer every day. Horribly sad to see how the company has imploded over the past few months!
