Pros

Great company culture of hard working people. They hire from within and seek to find talent among their people. They also offer extensive training and resources to all their employees. They pay very well.

Cons

Honestly, the only reason I left was because I initially wanted to work in another industry, otherwise I would have stayed and would return to now.

Pros

Very easy to have an impact in the continuous improvement/lean area. Good management who are willing to level with you. Huge company so lots of room to build a career and move up. Lots of job locations to apply to switch to as well. And most importantly there is a food truck on site that has amazing Mexican food!

Cons

Hourly employees can skip work without a proven excuse due to California law and you are unable to fire them. Major issues in hiring temps because of hiring freezes and lack of funds. Having to work a lot of weekends was no fun and very stressful. I worked 70-80 hour weeks putting a strain on enjoying outdoor activities and volunteer work.

Pros

Competitive benefits, good for someone looking to settle down. Their rotational programs are great for people starting out, specially if they want to relocate every year.

Cons

Not exciting, not the smartest people to work with and a complex hierarchy. The culture depends highly on the location you're looking at. Terms of employment are changed easily. I did not feel the LDP manager really cared about my career or building a relationship. Definitely not good for people with a spouse who also has a career. Location preferences are considered but you'll go where they send you.
