Pros

Great ideas and innovation from employees. Very nice people to work with. Improved facility, great Gym and cafeteria. Powerful vision to keep you motivated. Share prices rock!

Cons

Very unrealistic timeline for the projects. A lot of politics. There is a ring master and you dance along on his commands. They show as if they care for the voice of employee but in reality they do anything and everything to achieve their own purpose. They try and recruit kids fresh out of college who can work 60 hours and don't have a lot of family responsibilities. Very very stressful environment! A lot of reactive solutions than proactive. You are just putting down the next fire rather than building strategies. If you come up with a good idea, you're the lucky owner of that task which will take more hours on top of your regular work. All the Directors just care for themselves and their image and paycheck. They try and keep their team's paycheck "lean". Your promotion depends on how close you're to the Ring Master.

Pros

The company creates revolutionary new therapies that saves lives and is #1 in its field of Structural Heart. Perhaps the best performing company in all of medtech.

Cons

Highly relationship based company culture. Your success is heavily dependent on your ability to build relationships, not just the quality of your work product. This is not bad in and of itself, but a huge degree is dependent on luck....did you happen to know the right people and was the project you were on visible and perceived as successful. Not very diverse. Hardly any minorities or women at senior levels, though its improving slowly.

Pros

Onsite cafe, great stock purchase options

Cons

Its like highschool all over again. If you are not in the popular crowd you are bound to lose your job if one of them doesn't like you. Very political and inexperienced managers that will leave you out to dry to save their job.
