Pros

Reputable company, group benefits, stock program, free food

Cons

Everything else. Turnover: Whether it is voluntary, forced voluntary, involuntary, you see it all in the Canadian organization which is only < 60 people! Management: Incompetence is the one word that would describe the majority of the Canadian "Leadership Team / LT". Most of this group works their team to the bone to produce results and provide them with information because they do not have the skills or knowledge to understand their own role or do their own job. Truly incredible how this group is able to stay afloat. Thanks to some key players on each of the teams who go unrecognized but are truly the ones that keep the lights on. Especially on the shared services side - IT, Finance, HR, Supply Chain ... come on, do better. Employee Morale: Constant poor attempts to "hear" the employees and understand where they can improve, but only when they hear rumours of something being said or if a poor review is posted online. If you have to keep asking everyone where the issues lie, it's time to take a look at the group that is making the decisions. Do they really think employees are answering honestly in the "anonymous" employee surveys? Have some common sense. Employee Development and Recognition: Solid program in place, poorly excecuted. Managers do not know their teams well enough to recognize who is a key talent or a complete failure. But as demonstrated by the LT, if you can talk the loudest or complain the most, you must be the best one there!
