Confusing. The company is great, but the upper level management while good at their jobs are not competent leaders.

The company truly does focus on the patient and from the first day you feel like the company cares about the people working for them in a unique way.

Cons

While the company is patient and employee focused, the upper management I've worked with lacks much in people skills, leadership, and management abilities. Just because someone is really good at their job doesn't mean they'll be really good and managing people.

Layoffs around Christmastime - even for high performers - Happy Holidays! Extremely top heavy in senior management Sr. Mgmt fits the cliche: "it's not what you know, it's who you know." Sr. Mgmt makes way too much money - they are not worth it - no one is worth what CEO and others earn. Politics is much too excessive. Strong performance is not rewarded. Management in HVT is arrogant
