Cons
Where do I start. Management doesn’t appreciate their workers, gaslight you into thinking it’s your fault when you inevitably become disgruntled and frustrated due to their lack of proper training (throw you to the wolves and set you up to fail), the long time associates horrible attitudes toward you (but when there’s a higher up around they’re sickly sweet), promises are never kept it’s just to keep you there until they find another replaceable cog in the corporate machine. You never get the hours or schedule you ask for, people always call in on the busy days leaving a skeleton crew even more short handed, you’re forced to pick up the slack of lazy coworkers without complaint, favoritism is rampant, and they make you do janitorial work as well on top of everything. All this and more- with no praise, no hey good job. Just constant criticism. But if you dare to make fair criticisms back to management, they turn on you and a target is in your back and gossip about you behind your back. It’s like every other retail job, no perks at all other than insurance, but more is expected of you. Not worth it at all.
