Pros
- Fantastic product and company vision - Generally strong culture and flexible working conditions - A lot of great people - Autonomous & proactive work ethic (unless in sales where you will be micromanaged)
Cons
- Local (AU/NZ) leadership is weak - agree that there are a lot of "yes men" who are just long standing sales guys, as per previous posts - An ever increasing amount of middle management who seem to do a lot of "strategy planning" but with no noticeable improvement for employees or customers. It seems like they spin a lot of plates to suit their own agendas. Plan, re-plan, re-plan... - Senior management have recently gone to the extent of moving themselves to a totally separate floor which completely removes them from the general workforce. Not exactly promoting an "open door policy". - Recent bad hires and resignations within sales management have completely turned the sales org haywire. - Repeatedly poor sales (Account Exec) hires has lead to a stressful culture - AU/NZ is a small operation and has little opportunity for major growth (in terms of headcount). Bear this in mind when considering career opportunities as your next step would likely be abroad (APAC or US), unless you play the game well and find yourself in a self-made middle management role as discussed above.
