* The company doesn't get involved after you sign the contract. From there, your experience depends completely on the client, leading to mixed to not-so-great results depending on who you end up working with. They won't care for you unless you speak up.
* Salaries are not great from the get-go but easily negotiable shortly afterward. It *seems* to me that recruiters try to keep the margin between employee salary and what they charge to clients as big as possible.
