Cons

High expectations of knowing everything about hundreds of products, most of which you have never seen out of the box. Constant pressure to sell profitable services subscription (Total Tech Support), and get people to get a Best Buy credit card.

If you start out on registers up front it can be difficult to learn on the floor and find a department especially if you are not selling enough credit cards and memberships

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
