Pros

Basically the only good part about working here is the Employee Discount.

Cons

If you are on the sales floor customers assume that you work on commission and try to jerk you around on price. At Best Buy you aren't paid on commission, but you are still mercilessly hounded at as if you were. If you are in the warehouse, everyone else in the store (including managers) neglects their responsibilities and leave the burden with you. Warehouse associates basically run everything in the store for a dollar more than minimum wage and are held responsible when anything in the store goes wrong. Warehouse associates do all the heavy lifting while the Sales Team gets bonuses all day. You also have no opportunity for career growth. You want to get anywhere in the company don't get in the warehouse. If you get stuck there get out asap. Doesn't matter what department you are in for these: You will constantly get your hours cut, and then the next day they will turn around and try to call you in against your availability. Also If you request off in advance and you get it approved you will still wind up scheduled on those days off.

Pros

Flexible hours, employee perks such as discounted products, offers 401(k) despite being part-time, coworkers who are nice to work with.

Cons

Management is quick to call-out sales that have nothing attached to it (warranties, card applications, memberships, or accessories). There is a rodent problem that has not been addressed for nearly a year; food and beverages cannot be sold at this store.
