A shell of its former self - Human Resources Best Buy Employee Review

Pros

Benefits are pretty generous, work life balance is good.

Cons

Cost cutting has gone too far. The products they sell are fully commoditized, and they can't differentiate on service or experience when they keep cutting things. All levels of the organization are plagued by politics, favoritism and ass-covering. No one is willing to put themselves out there to do the right thing. Accountability is laughable at best.

Pros

Flexible hours, employee perks such as discounted products, offers 401(k) despite being part-time, coworkers who are nice to work with.

Cons

Management is quick to call-out sales that have nothing attached to it (warranties, card applications, memberships, or accessories). There is a rodent problem that has not been addressed for nearly a year; food and beverages cannot be sold at this store.
