Pros

Best Buy required no previous sales experience and there was no pressure to get sales by commission. Over the course of 2.5 years I became an expert on everything there is to know in the store, and I became a great salesman.

Cons

Over time, the store became less about customer experience and more about metrics. This lead to worse customer experiences, such as offering a credit card application to customers when it didn't fit the solutions they came in seeking. I have a theory that this has to do with the CEO change after Hubert Joly.

Pros

Flexible hours, employee perks such as discounted products, offers 401(k) despite being part-time, coworkers who are nice to work with.

Cons

Management is quick to call-out sales that have nothing attached to it (warranties, card applications, memberships, or accessories). There is a rodent problem that has not been addressed for nearly a year; food and beverages cannot be sold at this store.
