Pros

Decent pay, flexitime, discounts and staff travel. They have a huge number of very loyal staff and they are great people to work with, we get each other through the hard times.

Cons

Used to be a great place to work but has declined steadily over the last 10 years and severely over the last 5 years, since they became part of IAG. There's been very few opportunities to progress for a long time, it's easier to leave and come back a higher grade than to get a promotion based on the quality of your work. Now BA is outsourcing lots of jobs across the company to overseas contractors. IT (my dept) has changed its view and now IT staff are seen only as resources that are interchangeable with contractors in India. IT staff who have worked there for a while have officially been renamed 'legacy staff'. A very senior manager has been quoted comparing finding IT staff to buying a fridge on the Internet.
