Pros

Flight benefits (although increasingly these are being phased out for those in the back office). Pension (increasingly being eroded) Redundancy package (probably shortly to be reduced)

Cons

Hugely unsympathetic senior management team hell-bent on cutting costs and squeezing the last minute of work out of you. At my level, unrelenting travel, often at short notice, trying to manage under-resourced, demotivated teams across multiple locations. Very low morale. Almost no funding now for training or career development. A culture of 'plucking out' people, often completely inexperienced, for promotion on the basis of their perceived 'enthusiasm'. Nearshoring of jobs to lower cost areas - Poland and Spain. A bonus scheme largely based on factors that you have almost no influence over.
