Pros
Good network and staff travel benefits. Trips especially longhaul still have a good amount of time downroute in comparison to other airlines. Union protects scheduling agreement reasonably well (although are slowly giving things away) which still seems better than most airlines. Ability to live and commute from anywhere in the world. Seniority based rostering. Training, engineering and safety is primary and maintained to a very high standard.
Cons
IAG bringing standard of treatment towards employees down as many other airlines including reducing rest where they can, getting max flying hours out of pilots and crew, quality of hotels (union still somewhat has a say in this). Not as good as other career airlines in terms of monetary package when Inc bonus etc and housing. Operating into Heathrow is a joke as they can’t even get enough people to switch on stand guidance and move air bridges.
