Pros

Staff travel (although stressful as its standby) Some lovely colleagues- meet friends for life (just watch out for the snakes)

Cons

Treated so differently from crew on old contracts, and not in a good way. Disgusting pay- so hard to live on the wage. Working hours- zero work life balance, 2 days off after a long haul- 1st day complete write off as you're jet lagged, 2nd day you're washing and re-packing for your trip the following day. A lot of 7-14 day blocks, so so tired all the time. Hardly any time down route, average of 22 hours long haul and 10 hours shorthaul (usually falls over night so all you have time to do is sleep anyway) A lot of snakes within the company- be careful, you will be grassed up for the pettiest of things. Outrageous sickness policy- get told we are not allowed to fly with a cold/blocked ears etc, yet they allow no leeway- sacking people left right and centre for being off sick too often when all they are doing is sticking to the rules. Any normal job you would still work with a cold and they should allow leeway for that.)
