I can't see any pros in coming here. I would not recommend it to PhD Candidates. Chose a place that employs you.

Wage theft by classifying us as self employed - what a joke. Most PhDs, according to a survey done by the university, end up with social security or taxes debt, because they just don't understand why we're "self-employed" Every single benefit we had was cut. We used to have money to go to conferences, they made it so difficult to get with bureaucratic hurdles that it's basically not there anymore. Prestigious grants like the GTFP were cut. Toxic work culture, I have never seen an university that hates its PhDs so much
