      Opportunities for professional growth for those who want it; that is to say one needs to be proactive in making their strengths, abilities and desire to advance known. Work/life balance, at least for me; I know of other colleagues who complain of long hours and/or managers who are not supportive of flexible work schedules and/or working remotely

      Lack of effective communication and oftetimes, clear direction from management Persistent "us vs. them" politics between corporate functions and businesses

      Great benefits and work/life balance if you're on the right team.

      Having a bad manager dictates everything about your job. You will see no upward mobility or compensation improvement if you are under a poor manager.
