Pros
Mobility between businesses. Opportunities to work and travel overseas. Rich and deep corporate history and culture. The work can be meaningful and motivating if you are responsible for a business unit. It is a company that operates on a truly grand and complex multinational scale.
Cons
At the entry level Citi payroll is pretty low as a percentage of total expenses. In other words, they do not pay well compared to other institutions. There is a highly politicized corporate culture. It is this way in two senses, internal politics is more significant than other companies, the "who you know is the most valuable skill set" approach. Secondarily, the company is woke to a fault. If you do not see your role as transformative of society towards fashionable social trends as well as profit driven, keep your thoughts to yourself.
