Pros

Salary is good. Pressure of work moderate. Exceptionally considerate CEO

Cons

1. Citi may not pay the promised bonus after 1st year, irrespective of good work. If you have a manipulative manager he/she can pull down your performance rating so low that your yearly bonus becomes ZERO. You may raise objection with HR but very difficult to fight against the rubber-stamp senior manager culture. 2. Deplorably incompetent managers and senior managers. 3. Technology is so poor, that even CEO loses job primarily due to poor technology. Mismanaged data tables (for example without or with misused partition keys) makes the systems slow and inefficient, and technology leaders do not care. 4. Federal holidays are deducted from carried over earned vacation hours! 5. 401k match is added to your retirement fund after March in the following year! (Not sure if this is compliant) 6. Culture of wasteful meetings, and that too with unnecessarily large number of global participants.

Pros

Great collaboration between work groups. There used to be room for advancement and diversity in the workplace.

Cons

Lack of job security for several years culminating in a layoff after nearly 3 decades with the firm. Like many places, benefits, raises, and advancement opportunities diminished over time as the firm decided to offshore roles.
