Pros

A large company that could present many opportunities to employees. The benefits are decent. Vacation starts off at 3 or 4 weeks right way. Medical is pricey like at all companies. If you are part of the "in" group, the compensation can be decent. There are some groups that have very good people who are dedicated and well-intentioned. There are alot of resources in the company that open doors to this place that can't always happen at other places. Working remotely or from home was available for some employees. Paternal leave for fathers was offered (unfortunately after I had my children).

Cons

Incompetent Sr. Mgmt. Citigroup is simply a mass of acquired "little" companies that effectively ran independently. As the sr. mgmt of the corporation attempted to merge these companies they had no skilled people to do so and ended up breaking a lot of good companies and introducing beauraucracy that has since crippled this place. The place is full of cronyism. Promotions and bonuses depend on how well you are liked and if you are "in". Be very careful who you line your star up with or you will be stuck forever. Change is like moving a mountain and if it happens it is typically in the wrong direction.

Pros

Hybrid schedule right out of “training” and FT WFH privilege came much faster than expected. There are some great benefits. Job confidence as

Cons

Training was a waste of Citi’s money and a train wreck. Facilitator was all over the place. Normally there’s a flow to training, there was no flow and it was all over the place. OJT felt like sinking or swimming.
