Pros

There can hardly be any pros at this company

Cons

This company is all talks and no action. I have been at Citi since the last 3 years and moved into the current role a year back. The management is not supportive of the female employees and they don't really care about the career progression and we are often pushed into roles that doesn't really add any value in the long term. With the restructure in place , I was asked to move into a new role without having given any prior notice. I did explain that it doesn't really help with my career goals and my manager was not really ready to reason things out. It doesn't just come down to the career progression , but the overall culture in citi is horrendous. There has been multiple instances I have raised workplace concern to my management and all just fell into deaf ears. The workplace concerns included being subjected to sexist, racists remarks, bullied by peers in meetings. I have been specifically asked not to go to HR and just raise things with management instead while no action is ever taken. People are highly disrespectful in meetings and use name callings , racist remarks etc and worst part this is encouraged by the management. This has really impacted my mental health and it is sad that a company who aims to put so much into DEI and women empowerment are actually letting their employees suffer in silence.

Pros

Hybrid schedule right out of “training” and FT WFH privilege came much faster than expected. There are some great benefits. Job confidence as

Cons

Training was a waste of Citi’s money and a train wreck. Facilitator was all over the place. Normally there’s a flow to training, there was no flow and it was all over the place. OJT felt like sinking or swimming.
