Pros

I began my first career in Citi, right after I finished my law school. Although at that point of time, I haven’t receive my official transcript for my degree, Citi still consider my job application and eventually accepting me as one of their staffs.

Cons

For the past 2+ years, Citi went through big restructuring & reorganization within the firm. There were many changes to adapt within the internal management. I had managers changing process for more than 3 times.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
