Unrealistic expectations of employees. Management does not have to follow attendance rules at all. They come and go as they please while hourly employees are held at strict standards on a point system. Flat tire? Sick? Car accident? Moms in the hospital? Something happens out of your control? Doesn't matter. Occurrence. Get fired for something you can't control.
