Pros

DXC was formed in 2017 from a merger of two large companies. Since then, the company continues to acquire other SI and VAR companies which continues to fuel DXC's growth. The goal is to lead to a single-source supplier for everything in a digital ecosystem (cloud platforms, ERP, business apps). As a front-line salesperson, theoretically this can give you a lot of tools to sell in your tool-bag. However...

Cons

While to salary is comparable to the competition, don't plan on making any commission for a long time unless you get really lucky. Commissions are not paid on every dollar sold and you need to hit certain gates before receiving anything. BEWARE!!! As posted in other reviews, the BENEFITS are horrible! Absolutely beyond worse than anything I've ever received from any other employer. So unless you don't care about health insurance, have no family, or can ride on a spouse's coverage, you will end up paying a very large portion of your salary for health insurance (for me, comparable coverage to my former employer would have cost >$40K in out-of-pocket annual premiums if it weren't for COBRA). This is something you don't find out until AFTER accepting a position at DXC. Supposedly, this is a known problem that DXC is trying to fix, but I would not bet on it. The onboarding is "one-size-fits-all", so you will need to go through a lot of details and self-applied training courses which will feel redundant or not applicable. Just tough it out and spend the time to get through it.

Pros

Company just born out of a merger of CSC and the old EDS spun off by HPE Seems to be a good match of size and capabilities A lot more business opportunities, a much larger sales and delivery capability Great people in the trenches, smart, talented, experienced Stock price through the roof for three years straight...but options no longer given out to employees Brilliant CTO

Cons

Same CEO as CSC, which means no raises or bonuses, constant cutting (value retention) Drive for more off-shoring, landed resources (Indians brought to America on bogus visa justifications, for six month intervals). Replacing people with software as fast as possible Replacing experienced people with inexperienced people as fast as possible Ridiculous sales goals set by people who have never sold anything in their lives
