Pros

Generally speaking the people you will work with are great.

Cons

The company is very cheap when it comes to employees. For instance they will tell you you have 4 weeks off but once your in the company 2 weeks is considered PBA and it actually states in the HR handbook you can not use those days for vacation. So a lot of this depends on your manager. The health care cost is also expensive. Almost no one qualifies for the discount they have so for most it will be double what they tell you. Bonus levels also are not a 100% so beware of calculating that into your pay. Another example of how you will treated is town hall meetings are always early or at lunch time (no lunch provided) so you do not interfere with work hours. You have to remember that is the way things are managed here. They also did not provide water instead you supposed to use vending machine. They also do not pay for accrued vacation when you leave unless required by law. They also will make you pay it back though if you use it early. Most companies pay vacation when you leave. Upper management blindly thinks you can increase X amount year over year without increased resources or tools. It can take months to get required tools but the schedules never get affected by this and you required to make up the difference.

Pros

The people are the best part of this job. I have met so many amazing people in this role. Even some I would consider life long friends. I think the experience gained from this job has also been useful for any sales role you may need for any future endeavors in sales or the tech industry.

Cons

Upper management has made many changes to the compensation and the metrics which has for sure effected employee satisfaction. Turnover rate is insane as there’s a new hire class literally every month. Dell itself is running out of room and they are not making any new teams for the new hire classes which has left more tenured reps in a vulnerable position.
