Pros
for me it was a great and rewarding experience, a very interesting and diverse portfolio of tasks and responsibilities, lots of freedom for creativity and innovation; great teamwork but it always depends on where and who you work with. I was very lucky with my unit and my boss!
Cons
EC as an institution is burdensome and not fully transparent in terms of administration, human resources etc.
