Working in DG Comp as a Blue Book trainee - Blue Book Trainee European Commission Employee Review

Pros

I thoroughly enjoy working at the European Commission in DG Competition. If you're interested in competition law, it's undoubtedly the best place to gain hands-on experience. The team consists of highly knowledgeable colleagues who are eager to share their expertise. Additionally, there are numerous opportunities to attend courses and seminars covering various legal and economic aspects of competition.

Cons

There aren't many drawbacks that come to mind. The allowance, which is below the Belgian minimum wage, may not be substantial given the cost of living in Brussels. However, it's manageable, especially since there are plenty of budget-friendly events organized for trainees.
