Pros
15% Staff Discount, Christmas gift voucher, opportunity to earn bonuses, very easy job, positive values for a company, second to none customer service policy, reasonable pay (if recruited by the right area manager)
Cons
Growth not as big or as fast as you may expect or hear about, too much focus on productivity and not enough on customer service, they want to tick too many boxes at once, don't bank on getting your holidays off unless you are actually going away somewhere, a lot of inexperience about the company causing high turnover of staff above and below meaning no stability or permanent structure, you are likely to have a new area manager every 6 months, store manager every 3/5 months staff every 2/4 months, there's no rush to fix issues such as short staff. Salary pay often means 50 or even 60 hour weeks un recorded and unable to take time back as suggested. "rota bullying" often occurs. you could find yourself working late into Saturday nights for stock counts if your store can not control it's shrinkage and you will be expected to work Easter and Boxing day. A supervisor could earn more than you and receive a larger bonus.
