Pros

It was nice to be able to talk to District Managers during routine visits. Higher ups at corporate are easy to contact, for the most part and respond promptly. Human resources are excellent at handling complaints and investigating violations. If you make your way into Production, you learn a lot of print production skills that are applicable in the print industry outside of FedEx Office. There can be a sense of community and family if you land the right store with the right managers. I was lucky enough to work with a solid team who appreciated one another.

Cons

It's retail. It's customer service. You'll get a great deal of rude, disrespectful, nasty customers who want things done their way and refuse to adhere (or even understand) FedEx Office production and shipping policy. You really need to think on your feet and be flexible. My store was open 24/7 and we had a full-center remodel. We NEVER closed the center. There was fiberglass and open wires, falling ceiling panels, uneven floors, etc. Customers were furious! I had so many customers yell at me personally for this mess. Not cool.

Pros

Friendly coworkers and supportive team environment. Gained strong customer service and communication skills while helping with printing, shipping, and handling different types of orders.

Cons

Limited opportunities for advancement since you often have to wait for someone to leave before moving up.

Pros

Good work life balance, hours are flexible, team members are pretty nice overall, benefits are good, company is stable and job security is good

Cons

Way too many things to remember, they say “you don't have to remember everything, just know where you can figure it out” and thats all fine and good but there are so many places to go and you have to know where, and despite what they say there are things you cant find anywhere and just have to know, so many systems are just confusing and have no real guidelines to follow, and thats not to mention that every manager has there own places where they do it either the fedex way or their own way, and you never know until you get called out for doing something. Pay is also pretty low and the only way to make more is take on management roles
