Pros
The job as a tech was fun and challenging. It is an always changing environment with new products and people all the time.
Cons
Management of the local facility was/is a joke and the reason for the current downsizing. Managers can't even hire techs to replace those that leave. Lies are told to keep people on the job until they are ready let everyone know that 2/3 of them will soon be without a job. The company's intranet site revealed the next year's drop in needed employee numbers for the facility. Local management waited several months before announcing it in a plant-wide meeting.
