      Bad career move - Manager Lidl Employee Review

      Pros

      Good pay but works out at minimum pay when you divide between the hours you work.

      Cons

      Senior managers have not got a clue how tough it is in store and don’t care. Staff are treated like animals and head office think it’s ok because the pay is ok. No idea about making work fun. Everything made to look good when managing director comes round but then goes back to normal.

      Very divers tasks diverging from different products lines like dry food, fresh food, flowers, bakery

      Doesn’t use much of the new tools, excel only

      Pros

      Intelligent engaged people, Modern offices, Decent pay, and good retirement benefits.

      Cons

      Growing pains of a European company modifying its business to grow its American footprint. Senior leadership was mostly European. Felt disconnected from American grocery culture.
