Pros

Steady work and guaranteed hours Decent pay compared to some retail roles Some good colleagues (but overshadowed by poor management)

Cons

No genuine opportunities for progression — people with less experience promoted over loyal staff Disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour from some managers, including offensive language Disability and neurodiversity (like autism) not taken seriously — seen as “difficult” or a “nuisance” rather than supported Constant nit-picking — small mistakes are picked up instantly, but achievements are ignored Hostile environment where you can feel ganged up on or publicly humiliated Diversity and inclusion feel performative — important months like Black History Month go unnoticed
