Unlimited Staff Discount and additional staff discount vouchers were good, especially for food shopping.
Cons
Little to no progression within the company. I started out at M&S as a christmas temp sales assistant and after 13 months was finally made a permanent member of staf(my temp contract was renewed every 2 months). I worked on GM, and after severe profit loss and staff shortages, Members of staff were non-negotiably moved to work in hospitality (cafe etc.) as this was the only part of the business thriving and M&S could not afford to employ from the public. My only other option was to leave which I did do. To forcefully move members of staff to a different working sector and change their entire contract is immoral and shouldn't happen. Two older members of staff who had worked in GM for their entire working life were forced to change and work in the Cafe and actually walked out.
