Pros
I joined Meltwater brand new to sales having come from a very different background. My skills gained in my previous career were recognised and developed and the Managing Director and Sales Manager worked closely with me to hone these in a brand new environment - if you go looking for the development and work hard, you will be rewarded with fast progression and very good money for hitting targets. The social side of things is great with 5 aside, team drinks and meals, and closing night celebrations. I left to go back to my previous career choice.
Cons
Sales was simply not the right career choice for me, and I felt this wasn't made 100% clear/brushed over during the interview. *ENSURE YOU ARE AWARE OF WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS* Your first few months will be tough as you settle in and will be expected to do work in your own time/there isn't enough hours in the work day to complete it, but as mentioned above, hard work is rewarded.
