Pros
Classic Silicon Valley tech environment. Definitely not to the level of huge companies like Google or Facebook but they suck you in with the free snacks, ping pong tables and once a month parties to celebrate the end of the sales cycle. Do teach you how to conduct presentations and email etiquette well.
Cons
Really aggressive sales tactics. Will literally hound prospective clients by calling them numerous times a day and using fake "ghost numbers just so they will pick up. If it's the end of the month and the sales consultant isn't on target they will do this until at least 10 PM or even text you. Very lackluster product. Taught to lie at all costs during presentations and demos that they are the best service and will spit lies about how they stack up against their competition The product is literally Just Google News and hootsuite combined with some decent charts thrown in. Hide extra packages like Tv monitoring so you end up getting charged later. They say their product is $25,000 but most of their deals are for $5,000 or less, they just want to take what you have and not consult, leading to a large churn rate (amount of clients that leave after one contract or year) Literally ask if they are running promotions and they are year long if you buy right now! Just an all numbers culture not a help PR professionals culture which makes it tough for account managers. Management is based off of sales numbers not leadership skills. Literally had a director just yell at me about the lack of phone calls I was making (you have to make 150 a day no less) and not even know how to help me understand the product when a client asked me a question. Work-life balance is ok during the first two weeks of the month, usually out by 6:00 PM, have to work weekends prospecting for leads which forces you to do a lot of overtime and work from home. Very common to be in office until 10:00 PM if not on sales target. High job turnover rate. People leave left and right.
